Who is the better cook men or women?

Things have changed a lot over the past few decades. Women use to cook , clean and take care of the children . Now since more women are going into the workforce , it seems that more and more women are losing sight of what they use to know and now men are stepping up to the plate. So one of the things I will focus on is, who will be determined as the better cook?

PR Newswire reports from Allrecipes.com , launched a survey on ManTestedRecipes.com, "Our research shows men genuinely enjoy cooking but have uniquely masculine interests and tastes; they deserve a dedicated and authentic community to connect with each other," said Lisa Sharples, president of Allrecipes.

Agreeing with Mrs. Lisa Sharples ,with so many websites, cookbooks and passed down recipes , for men to have a website that caters to their liking is something very useful. I personally have never had any problems with my father or brothers cooking I’m glad I was blessed with such great cooks.

Some statistics have shown men enjoy preparing meals more than women , men enjoy eating more than women and that men will take more time to prepare a meal instead of having an allotted time like women prefer. The percentage ranges are not being won by men by a landslide which tells me to some extent there is a slight balance in the system . Men Enjoy Cooking More can be said at this time, but maybe we can see more in the reasoning why and how possibly why men are the better cooks.

According to the United States Department of Labor about 20 percent more women worked within the household doing simple housework or cleaning. Now just because women spend more time in the house does not mean they are a better cook but may have more experience in the matter.

Recently in Department of Economic and Social Affairs published The World's Women 2010 ,it states that there are 57 million more men than women in the world. Also it states that women usually carry most of the work load . So why aren't women better at cooking?

Women having the ability to multitask, constantly having to cook meals at home can become repetition while men who might not do as much at home have the ability to go into the restaurant business and become a good chef able to use their creative side more. With basic knowledge of having the understanding that some women don't have the endurance to be in a kitchen setting all day unlike some men, it can easily become a double standard.

A Asia Food Recipe poll found that little over half of the rounded to 3000 people actually thought their husband was a better cook , majority of the men enjoyed cooking while being able to memorize a few meals without reference. The statistics don't look so good for the womens side of the house, majority struggled with basic skills, only a select few could do what the men did which is memorize a few certain meals.

With modern technology ,children involved in everything and being able to provide a family with basic necessities , it seems women just don't have the time anymore to provide a great meal but more meals that just provide simple nutrition. It only seems that women might be able to provide just a home cooked meal. Men on the other hand have been given the opportunity to stand by and watch what their counterparts are doing. Men I believe are more capable of providing more of a restaurant feel to meals using their creativity and stamina in the kitchen.
